"Born in Hawaii and ends up a snow boarder...I think she's on the wrong board."
Pro Skateboarding legend Christian Hosoi has been to the depths of hell and back again. Luckily, he lived to tell about it. With an insatiable drug-addiction, Hosoi began drug-trafficking, and eventually served time in prison.
He was sentenced to 10 years but served 4 on the basis of good behavior. Upon his release, Hosoi married his girlfriend, became a born-again Christian, and now works as a pastor at a church in Huntington Beach. Ironically, in his rock star days he was nicknamed "Christ" and famous for one of his signature moves the "Christ Air."
Hosoi's friend and former rival Tony Hawk had this to say about him in the book's foreword: "I had faith that [Hosoi] would come out the other side with style, and return to the sport that came to define both of us. He has since done that and more, and we are lucky to have him back."
To find out the whole story, you're just going have to read the book, which hits stores and online retailers June 12, 2012.
