The East Coast isn't known for its steeps and vert, and that's why resorts like Waterville Valley, NH, have been leaders in terrain park progression since the early 90's. The double barrel rail, bus top, Quonset hut, hip and infamous jump line were ahead of their time. Riders like Pat Moore, Chas Guldemond, Danny Garrity and Scotty Lago honed their skills in the Boneyard, ultimately making them some of the best riders in the world.
Pat Moore and Waterville Valley will host the first ever Back to the Boneyard to take place on Tuesday, March 24. Back to the Boneyard will be held not just for competition sake, but also to raise dollars for kids in the Waterville Academy Snowboard program. The day boasts to be a creative and fun contest but also a reunion of sorts to relive Waterville's storied past.
Back to the Boneyard will feature a resurrection of some of the Boneyard's most infamous elements. Teams of three riders will have to accomplish trickery from a predetermined checklist on each of the three features. All east coast snowboarders young and old are invited to come check out the action.
