Well obviously you missed the point of what I wrote. The point was not just that only the same exact thing was the ONLY thing could happen, but that it or many other things could and she had no help if she did need it. And the mast did fall on the Dad and he didn't die because he did have his family, therefore supporting the point that she should NOT have been allowed to do this alone at the age of 16. Open your mind to others points of view and you may see it a different way.
no, i don't think i missed the point. (: in fact, i think my mind is very open - if it wasn't, i wouldn't have been able to see your point, and respond to it accordingly. and if your mind was equally open, you would have no doubt saw the message my post was trying to convey in simplistic terms.
Great comment on Abby Sunderland's dream to sail around the world. I hope her character eggs you onto stretching yourself to attempt big things in your life.
I received a comment in my in box earlier and it had you ID, so I responded back to it. But if it was not from you and it does not apply to you then just ignore it. Don't make me cause you to have a bad day over nothing.
I don't know what 3rd world country that you are from but in the USA we have laws that are strictly enforced for keeping our children safe. And if you are not aware of it you will soon know when this kid and their parents set foot on this soil. Just recently they sent the parents to jail just for pulling a prank about their son being in a hot air balloon while in fact he was not in any harm, he was at home hiding. And the judge still sent both parents to jail. So YES we do put child safety as a top priory.
third world country? no, i'm actually from the united states. (:
and i'm not sure why this is being sent to me? did i ever once say that i disapproved of protecting children? of keeping them safe? did i ever once say that a child's safety was not a top priority? no, i don't think i ever once said those things - nor did i suggest that anyone else said those things.
so if your comment was meant to somehow attack a belief of mine, i'm sorry to notify you that it's failed.
