Their work will be on display this Saturday night at the brand new Shorebreak Hotel in Downtown Huntington Beach, CA. I really like the line at the bottom of the flier "She said she loved me, good thing I didn't believe her," ain't that the truth. I've been to a few Jose Cerda's showings (that's one of his pieces to the right, Pat Benatar), and he has such great steez with a brush. A pro skateboarder turned artist, who didn't let the self expression stop when the wheels stopped spinning. He's a Volcom featured artist, and is always putting on shows at Hero's in Huntington. It's right down the street from my house, so I always make it a point to check them out, so do guys like Ed Templeton and Ben "33" Brough. Click here to check out the last one featuring the works of Jeremy Wray. Teddy Kelly is one of the guys creating all of those super unique graphics over at Ambiguous, and Dean Bradley is the President of Atwater clothing. How's that for a portfolio. This show is going to be killer, stay tuned for photos and a write-up. Provost Is Now Officially EmericanHuntington Beach shredder, and member of Tempster's Templars, as well as Remy's Regiment, Colin Provost, is now officially a member of the Emerica pro team. And that my friends is something to be proud of, Emerica is one of the best and most exclusive pro teams out there: Reynolds, Kirchart, Hsu, Templeton, need I go on? To officially welcome him the boys over at the skate shoe giant made a little video check it out below: Travis Barker Repping An OriginalSo I checked out the Grammy Awards last Sunday, and besides noticing how rad Lady Gaga is. Go ahead give me some s--t for it, but I support the Gaga, piano duet with Elton John; so sick. Anyway, I also noticed Travis Barker was wearing a Thrasher t-shirt as he played drums for the Little Wayne and Eminem song. Skateboarding made it to the Grammy's, and a real skate company none the less. There are estimates of up to 200,000 people dead, and millions more injured, homeless and starving. That's what is going on right now, on a small island in the Caribbean. What's going on in you life? Probably not that much, we're in a little bit of a recession, so you probably got a few less Christmas presents this year. And guess what? If your spoiled ass is in need of a new pair of skate kicks you can actually do something to help. Fallen had released the Rival SL Haiti Special Edition months ago, and now it seems like an even better time to make a purchase. For every pair sold, Fallen will donate $5 to the Haitian people through Three Angels Children's Relief for medial care, clothing and education.
