• Lengendary Freestyle Motocross Rider Mike Cinqmars Dead at 31

Known as one of the original pioneers of Freestyle Motocross, Mike Cinqmars passed away today at the age of 31. The cause of death is still to be determined, pending an upcoming autopsy.

Cinqmars is often credited with helping establish FMX as a mainstream sport. The news of Cinqmars' death is the 2nd blow in the past year to the motocross community, Jeremy Lusk died earlier this year while competing in a contest in Costa Rica.

Cinqmars career highlights include a silver medal at the 1999 X Games, as well as appearing on MTV's "Senseless Acts of Video" which brought freestyle motocross to everyone's living room.

In recent years, a broken back, sustained while filming for his own movie, forced him to quit riding. It's been reported that he had struggled with no longer being able to ride everyday.

Cinqmars will be missed throughout the motocross as well as the action sports community.
