Tags: None Lucas Oil was announced as the new title sponsor for the AMA National Motocross Championship Series at the Indy Supercross. The Lucas Oil AMA National Motocross Championship Series for 2009 begins in May over Memorial Day weekend.
After introducing the format this past summer at the Thunder Valley and Steel City events and receiving an overwhelmingly positive response, the 2009 schedule makes the move to Saturday afternoon races.
Other changes include single-day competitions, four weekends of rest built into the schedule and, in order to help offset travel expenses, MX Sports has rearranged the events for a more cohesive and efficient travel schedule.
