Well race fans Sunday was an unusual day as it seems nobody in my class wanted to win. Everybody had inconsistent finishes including yours truly. Aztec is an excellent race course in Colorado Springs, however it turned into a one line slot car track this week, so lousy start=poor finish. Well I had a TERRIBLE start (17th) but managed to smoehow work my way into 6th with 2 laps to go I squared off a sweeper to gain a position ahnd high sided onto my head. Getting up on the dizzy and blurry side, I remounted and gave chase, well I suppose 16th ain't too shabby. While contemplating my mild concussion, I figured I'd ride the 2nd moto just for shits and grins!! Wouldn't you know I found myself in third after the 1st turn. Never being one to shy away from a good battle I gave chase to Clayton Flint and Mike Carter. Since the track was one line I didn't realize it, (as I was still seeing double) I ran a good race until the last lap when Alan Randa used a lapped rider to his advantage to slip into third. So a 16th and a 4th placed me in 7th overall, so I ran home got some Tylenol and had a good laugh. Too bad my head still hurts, though my vision has finally cleared up!! We'll see what the next race brings!
