I'm just another old Motocrosser that couldn't resist the temptation to come out of the woodwork and put in some laps, teach others how to race and have some fun! Roost on!
< previous 18 of 25 next > Colorado State ChampionshipWell not quite the day I had hoped for. Cold drizzly weather and lots of fog made practice a slow going affair as I tried to learn the track, but by thge time 1st moto came around the track was in great shape! Got a terrible start and had to work hard to get up to 6th. As luck would have it though I stalled in a tight corner and lost several places. I got going again and came to the Big downhill triple and launched high and fast, only to see Pat Ossifs CRF250 laying right where I was about to land. Thank you to the IDIOT Flagman that had his back turned!! Well I landed squarely on his bike and was shot HIGH into the air like a Rag Doll, landing like a brick. As I lay there I saw my buddy Ron Hemanson do the same. Ron has a busted up shoulder, I however can barely move as my back, right hip and ribs and VERY banged and bruised, can't believe I didn't break anything!! All my friends said that was one of the most brutal and violent crashes they've ever seen, too bad nobody got it on film! Thank you Jim Lucero and Mike for geting my bike loaded and taking care of me, your friendship is appreciated, and to my fellow racers that checked up on me in the Ambulance and all the calls and emails I've received, I thank you. We'll all have a few cold ones at my place when I can start walking normal again, see you next season. < previous 18 of 25 next >
