• I'm just another old Motocrosser that couldn't resist the temptation to come out of the woodwork and put in some laps, teach others how to race and have some fun! Roost on!
  • 1st Practice of New Year

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and Holiday season overall. Colorado MX in December is "unique". Day started off great little cloudy but low 40s, then as we're on the track for our first session a Snow storm blows in and COVERS the track in 7 minutes!!!! Freaky, so what did I do, stayed out and rode till my goggles were covered! Paul stayed out as well when 60%+ went home. But us old guys stuck it out. Took a break, weather cleared and we had an awesome track, slick in a few spots though. Allowed me to work on throttle control and better form. Really focused on geting forward in turns, thought I was sitting up far enough, but yesterday I was on the gas cap it seemed. But what a difference that made, and I thought "big Suzie" cornered good before!!! No ,matter how long you've been in this game, there's always time to learn more. Allen, glad you're ok, didn't see the crash but I heard it was pretty bad. Can't believe you broke your Leatt, better that than what it protects!! You looked good before that, glad to be back out there with you again, been too long. Paul, good day, you are definately gettin on the gas sooner out of the corners and that "Elbows up" thing, you were working hard at it for sure. Mark glad we were able to get some track time together, you looked good just need to brush off the rust. Bike looks great with new graphics and that #4, you earned it for sure. All you guys that couldn't make it, too bad we had a great time. Lots of laps again yesterday, hit my goal of 40+ so I'll be ready, fitness is good although I'm still maybe 85-90% speed. Next few sessions will tell, 41 days to the season opener, new graphics and switching to #8 for 2010. C ya at the track! Happy New Year to all!!!
