I just watched the highlights of the Australian SuperX. Reed crashed hard attempting a muddy nac-nac while racing for THIRD place. Maybe he was showing JM respect by busting out the trick that he made famous. Or maybe he was just being cocky on his home turf because he was beating the king. Either way, that crash put a smile on my face. I hope he didn't get a boo-boo.

Did he know that it was an outdoor race when he signed on? I doubt it. There might even be mud out there. Imagine that, Chad Reed getting muddy. I hope his mechanic threw a couple Tide sticks in his tool kit. He may even crash and break a nail. Now that would be horrific.

The latest news from Reed's camp is that he picked up some sponsors that are new to our sport. The Rockstar/Makita Suzuki name is no more. In 2009 it will be known as Tampax/Lifetime/Massengill Suzuki. Roger DeCoster is very proud of the new team. No wonder Alessi is looking elsewhere for a ride.

I'm so sick of this growing trend of top riders signing these Supercross only deals. To me, outdoor Motocross is the root of our sport. It separates the men from the boys. I give way more respect to a rider who can do both. These riders who only race supercross are voluntarily putting a cap on their potential. That's why RC will always be the GOAT. He did it indoors and outdoors. On minis, 125s, 250s, and 450Fs. Shit he probably would have done it in the 500 class if it were still around. If JBS doesn't ride any more outdoor MX, he will only confirm that RC will always be remembered as the GOAT.

Does anyone out there remember this kid, Gene Stull? He was a district 5 rider that I used to see race just about every weekend. This kid was fast as hell. He rode a suzuki. I think he was number 33. He had a ton of potential. I was just wondering what happened to him. I'm just curious.
