Are you kidding me. To make a better analogy between your two sailing kids and this girl sailor, I think that you should define your parental tolerances to real world situations. If you said that you would allow your kids sail out to meet a hurricane at sea for the thrill of it and that you would support that effort, then you would be on a par with her parents. Anyone that knows anything about circumnavigating the globe understands that you are very likely to run into storms of that magnitude. There is a monumental difference between your kids puttering around the harbor compared to sailing around the globe. It doesn't seem that you realize that but I pray that your kids do. All the best for the young sailor.
