Brian Grubb has won Wake Games now 4 years in a row so he is in prime position to go for a 5th year. Stu Shinn has been riding pretty good as well this weekend nipping at the heels of Grubb for the finals. Usual boat star Reed Hansen had some difficulty off the dock but managed to bring it together to also make it to the Finals. Nautique rider Brandon Thomas had a decent pass to also advance to finals on sunday. Jr pro Men's was quite entertaining with young up and coming guys just totally destroying the wake. Freddy Wayne a young and really unheard of rider stood up a perfect pass to make it through to finals. Daniel Powers and Raph Derome both will advance to finals to go head to head against west coast rider Jacob Valdez. Jr Pro Men's division this year on tour is going to be quite interesting with Bob Soven moving to Pro Mens and Phillip Aslinger as well. Pro Womens is also looking insanely stacked with a 6 rider Final including Dallas Friday, Amber Wing, Nicola Butler, Raimi Merrit, Anna Hajek, Halely Smith all going for the win at wake games. The Women are really pushing their selves this weekend on the water going bigger then ever and adding more tricks their passes. It will be interesting to see if Dallas Friday intense training over the winter will pay off against Nicola Butler bringing the heat. Pro Mens as always is the highlight of the day with some of the biggest names in wake all hoping to make it to Sunday's final. Rusty Malinoski posted the highest score of saturdays quarter finals with a perfect stand up pass. Phillip Soven a usual in Sunday's finals just could not seem to pull it together on saturday but still managed to make it through his heat to sunday. Harley Clifford also not with his best showing was able to make it through to sunday. Stand out performances from Ben Greenwood not usually known for his contest results was able to slide on through to sunday. Semi Finals on sunday will see a Head to Head battle between Rusty Malinoski, Phillip Soven, and Bob Soven all trying to make it to the finals. This heat could go anyway but with the way Rusty is riding right now its going to be hard to say. Channels: More < previous 268 of 525 next > |
