Is this the year of the young guns? Check out the video if you did not get a chance to make it out to wake games. We start the video out with a little wakeskate action, where Reed Hansen will beat out Stu Shinn for 1st place. Brian Grubb takes home 3rd, and Brandon Thomas rounds out the final heat in 4th place. Then as the day goes on Jr. Pro Men take to the water and go huge! Canadian Raph Derome beats the rest of the guys for 1st place looking really comfortable out there. West Coaster Jacob Valdez beats out East Coasters Daniel Powers and Freddy Wayne for 2nd place. The Pro Women's final was a 6 woman heat full of some of the sport's top riders. Dallas Friday has been working hard all winter training and it payed off for her, taking 1st place. Nicola Butler would manage to beat out fellow Oakley team rider Amber Wing to take 2nd. Pro Men's Final was probably the most unexpected makeup of the day. Rookie Bob Soven would beat out Rusty Malinoski and brother Phillip Soven for a spot in the finals. Harley Clifford was riding great all day and was able to beat out Bob for 1st place. Bob would take home second place with JD Webb following right behind him in 3rd. Josh Palma's first pro final ever would put him in 4th place above fellow Hyperlite team member Jimmy Lariche. It was one of the hottest days in Florida this year and one of the hottest days on the water all weekend. Channels: More < previous 266 of 525 next > |
