Reed Hansen has been on top of the sport of wakeskating for quite some time now and it does not look like he is going anywhere soon. Reed is always one of the top contenders at any contest. Reed not only could possibly win Boat, but he could easily win winch, ski and cable. Reed is one of the best all around riders in this industry. This year Reed is qualified for all disciplines at Toe Jam so he was able to sit back at qualifying and watch. PW:Your qualified for every discipline for this years 2010 Byerly Toe Jam. Does that take a lot of the pressure off of you not having to worry about qualifying? RH:Yeah it definitely does. I just sit around and watch everybody try and earn their spots. It's pretty fun. PW:Your known as a master behind the boat but being a past champion of other disciplines how do you stay so consistent behind the ski, boat, cable, and winch? RH:People can try and classify me as a boat rider if they want to, but the honest truth is that I love to wakeskate. Wether it is behind the boat, cable, winch, ski, four wheeler mud truck, or sub marine. PW:Your heel flip variations are looking so good these days. Will we be seeing any heelflips this year from you at Toe Jam? RH:I like to do heelflips a lot, so you might see me try one if I get put in the right situation. PW:Grant Roberts is looking more and more comfortable throwing the 540 in his contest pass. Do you think you might have a 540 in your contest pass in the near future? RH:I did last year. PW:What are you thinking about when your out on the water in a contest? RH:Don't fall. Try really hard things. Don't fall. PW:Not down playing Worlds or any other contest this year but would winning Toe Jam be your greatest professional accomplishment of the year? RH:Yeah, well toe jam is the contest that is built by the riders and for that reason everyone shows up. So, it is a lot bigger of a contest than any other. PW:Your an old wakeskater but a young person, youve been wakeskating for what seems like forever. Whats it like wakeskating these days compared to 04 or 05 for you? RH:Not much is changed. I still have a great time riding my skate. Well actually now I can drive... And do burnouts on my way into toe jam. Channels: More < previous 132 of 525 next > |
