Justin Weeks 381...REAd! HELP!On August 30th, 2009, tradgedy struck the Weeks family and everyone around them when the unthinkable happened at Freelin MX in Brown City, Michigan. During his second practice he was approaching a double when the bike kicked him forcing his body to take the impact. Shortly after the accident Justin had no mobility from his chest down. He had surgery and 3 months later, he can lift his left leg, move his toes and bend his knee. Due to his right hip being out of place it is restricting him from moving his right leg/foot correctly. Justin is a long time friend of mine and if this has ever happened to anyone close to any of you guys, you know how heartbreaking it is. Of course it's going to be competitive and people are going to make hard passes and stuff you in a corner but if i get bitched out and someone gets in my face every time it happens, im not going to deal with it. I'm not giving up on racing, i gave it all i could give. Maybe my time has come and gone. Who knows, next year i could be back and more ready than I've ever been. For now, im just going to finish the season in the vintage classes with all the guys that are cool and just have fun because honestly, if it weren't for vintage, I wouldn't race at all anymore. I've been to the top and back and now I'm just going to have fun with it. And for anyone that is staying in the sport and continues to race, i have nothing but respect for you.
