    Day nine of Quiksilver ISA World Junior Surfing Championships

    Final day! Today, La FAE received a solid 3-5 foot swell as athletes powered through nine heats of semi finals, finals repercharges, and the final main event. Hawaii came close to clinching the gold this year as Australia made a miraculous comeback to take the most honorable spot on the podium for the fourth year in a row. Brazil took third as USA came in right behind to medal. When all was said and done, Australia delivered some major blows as they took the gold in the Boys Under 18 division..

        You guys must not check this very often? I don't have a lot of time for Grind either. Bungee-Surfing is being featured at the Payette River Experience this Summer - www.thepre.com - It would be great if Quik could sponsor the first Surfing Contest ever held in Idaho. I still haven't heard from your wetsuit guys? I sent you contact info about a week ago.

      Have you seen the sport of riverboarding? We ride small surfboards on rivers, shooting upstream at 30+ mph. No Boat! This sport brings surfing to the landlocked masses. I would think that Quiksilver would be interested in a sport that brings surfign to Idaho, Colorado, Arkansas, Texas, Vermont, etc. But I have tried for years to talk to someone at Quiksilver - Never any response. We did a demo for a group of sales reps last Summer and the first thing they said was "When this sport takes off, my wetsuit sales will increase dramatically". I guess Quiksilver is not interested in increasing their wetsuit sales dramatically?
