I demand a recount. I wasn't ACTUALLY going to destroy it... I swear! Ok, honestly it probably would have been worshiped alongside all the other albums, just not as thoroughly. Here's what I can promise, if you do decide to send me the prize, not only will I NOT destroy any of the items received, but I will protect each and every treasure as though it were a sacred relic. On my honor, I will also resort to grindtv and stupidvideos for my internet entertainment needs over its unsightly competitors, which need not be named. I believe I do deserve to win this competition because, one, sending me the reward would not be a waste, as I have previously stated, NOTHING would be destroyed but rather EVERYTHING would be worshiped; two, I have now "used my writing talents to say something positive," and three, all the other comments which were chosen as winners... well, to put it bluntly, they just suck. So, if there were to be a recount that resulted in my receiving benefit, I would be enthralled. It's not like anyone has to know an alternative verdict was ever reached in the first place. ;)

My first known encounter with Radiohead was at an Alanis concert in Hershey PA that my girlfriend, now wife, drug me to. I wasnt that much into going and didnt research who the opening band was. The concert started and there was a band on stage that I had not heard of before this evening, Radiohead. Their music was mesmerizing and I remember leaving the concert that evening in search of a record store (obviously none were open that late). Needless to say, the next day I had purchased my first Radiohead CD and am now the proud owner of them all craving more. As said by another poster, their music has meaning and the band isnt all caught up in the glamour of success forgetting what is important (the music and their loyal fanbase). Their internet release of In Rainbows on their website was something never done before and I feel was done for their fans, KUDO's to them for rocking the music industry boat (in my eyes it was worth whatever backlash they took from the music industry)! I dont know what else to say other than please keep making meaningful music for the true music (lyric) lovers out there. Peace

I deserved the prize because I think that I am one of the biggest fans of the band in my country and I have follow the band to a lot of concerts and I will go to a lot more. I felt in love 92' when I put the radio and it sounds 'Creep', my favourite song of all time. From then I always hear Radiohead in all places I can, and it's the way I feel free. A big kiss from Spain!

I have been a huge fan of radiohead since I was a freshman in highschool (6 years ago). At first I did not care for them because I was used to listening to more mainstream music. After listening to ok computer multiple times I learned to appreciate brilliance. Radiohead is the only band that can swing your emotions by not only lyrics, but also their sound. Winning this competition will cap off the perfect year for me as I am seeing Radiohead this fall!!!

What do I like about Radiohead? Hmm, where do I begin? First and foremost, theres no other band out there like you. Your originality is what attracted me to your music many years ago. Nowadays, as Im sure just about everyone would agree… there arent many lasting bands around. Some try to keep up and keep producing albums, some only a few songs but you guys have gone far and beyond what most bands/artists can only dream of doing. Having been around since before the 1990s -okay, Im feeling a little old now, and selling over 25 million albums and still keeping it strong just amazes me. How many bands/artists can you say have succeeded as yours? My answer would be very few. With new generations of fans influenced by your music every year, youre still keeping it strong and producing what people of all ages want to hear. Thats what makes you a phenomenal and exceptional band.
