GRANT BRITTAINBack in January, Club Mumble gave out their first skate diploma (not sure what that is), and honorary pro model to Grant Brittain. Grant has been around forever and has been one of, if not the most influential, skate photographer of all time. Check out his portfolio, if it wasn't for Grant there would be no Atiba. Anyway, the guys over at Mumble are going to be giving out two more of these honorary pro models, who else do you think deserves one? Channels: Skate Bryan Interviews BraydonHead on over to Active, to watch Bryan Herman interview Braydon Szafranski. It's funny because both these guys have names that are just a little tweaked. Like, Braydon sounds like it should be Brandon, and Bryan, well that sounds like Brian, but it's spelled with a "y". Just thought I put that out there. But, thanks to "Made For Skate," we are now both in the know. This 400 page book of the history of skate shoes, is a must have for any skate nerd. If you're broke and can't afford the hard cover, you are in luck, the whole book is available online here. Oh yea, and don't worry, even though Nike played a major role in getting this book published, it is definitely not just a marketing ploy by them. This book covers almost every skate shoe from the beginning of time. I strongly suggest that every one buy a copy or at least check it out online. Channels: Skate BOOGIEThe gritty Brooklyn based photographer Boogie, is now working with Altamont. You can check out his work here. While were on the subject of Altamont, be sure to swing by their site to hear how Reynolds feels about the current state of skateboarding. Let me just say that, I competely agree. Channels: Skate |
