My Info| Name: | THE SCOFF PROJECT Skateboarding | | Lives In: | Clovis, California United States | | Description: | Story: The Scoff Project is a documentary film about the designing and building of a mini mega ramp and the hardships and rewards of building it. Designed by Jason Huewe this project takes on unique challenges throughout the seasons it was filmed. One of the main creative perspectives was that the mini mega being was being custom fitted to the side of a levee. Throughout the film the crew gives tips and tricks, on building ramps along with ways to save money when building your own ramps; and how to get wood and lumber for free; alongside with recycling and reusing old wood. About 1/3 of The Scoff Project itself is made from old recycled or scrap wood. Nearing the ending of building the ramp the crew faces problems keeping them from finishing their monster ramp, with broken ankles, camera men failing to show, and the government getting involved. This ramp is no easy task and is urning to be finished; also not forgetting all the high flying carnage that will be going down on this beast on ' Jump Day' . Jump Day: This is the day that everyone wants to be here! Jump Day is main day for the Scoff Project when, as you guessed it, we finally jump it. Ams and Pros from around the US will be down here for some good ol' skate session times. Probably around 20 to 40 riders from around the US and our local scene will be hitting it up and throwing tricks down or maybe just eating it. Either way it will be a killer time and the perfect ending for our first documentary film. Involvement: Scoff Skateboarding knew this film was special and on a grander scale nothing quite like this has been down before. In light of this Scoff and Jason wanted to do something for others; a way of giving back to people in need and the skateboard community. So Scoff has teamed up with Mike Rogers from Grind 4 Life, a non-profit organization based out of Florida, helping people with cancer through skateboarding. $1 from every DVD sold will go to Grind 4 Life and there vision of helping people with the battle against cancer and their passion of doing it through skateboarding.
