"I fail to see the "Sport" associated with such a barbaric act of killing this beautiful beast of the Oceans. Human beings, according to most medical data, house a superior brain to any living thing on this Earth, yet, everyday, we see this battle of man and animal played out, as if the animal had a hell of a chance to succeed...What I do not understand is what kind of pleasure do you get from killing this wonderful and majestic animal, even if it were a contest, what personal pleasure do you derive from ending its life...???...it belongs in the Ocean and yet, your so called, "superior" brain, told you to kill it, take it out of its environment & stand next to it for a photographic record of the violent event....Please, try and understand what we are trying to convey to you people, who take pleasure in ending a life of this and other living things, here on Earth...Let them live, as they are God's Creatures and He put them here for other reasons and not so that you could spend a day, wallowing in its blood & salt water, for yes, a photographic record of this barbaric event...Let the animals and other creatures live, if possible, for I see no benefit to mankind, or to the field of medicine or any other necessary event that would allow mankind to benefit from the death of this most Majestic Beast..."

  • Hsu Hsu Stylish

Jerry Hsu is style master in more ways than one. As kid he was one of those skateboard prodigy types. He had every variation of flip, spin, grind and stall you can think of by the time he was in his mid-teens, which gave him plenty of time to perfect his style, the kind that looks like he's barley trying. A technical wizard, who's magical bag of tricks was headlined by a trick called the "Storm Flip," a nollie backside flip late flip (yeah try and grasp that one). The trick got it's name because Hsu first unveiled it to the world in the Osiris video, The Storm.

That was a long time ago, but people won't let Hsu forget about that damn trick. At the demos all the kids yell for it to be done, and even his fellow pros want to see it when he's around. That trick, and more so that video, have become something Hsu has really started to loathe over the years. Since then, he has become an accomplished photographer, artist and writer. All along with maintaining a professional skateboard career, even after a very serious knee injury.

Hsu has become a regular in Vice magazine over the years, which have featured countless photos and writings from his travels. It's his photography though, that has really gotten him his recognition as an artist over the years. He's been featured in showings, magazines and websites as a photographer. Oh yeah, and by the way, showings, magazines and websites who's audience could care less that he's professional skateboarder. The Vice Book Of Photos, which features the works of photography legends like Terry Richardson and Ryan McGinley, has a whole section of Jerry's works.

The whole time he was working to gain recognition in the art scenes of cities like New York, LA and San Francisco, he was filming for video sections and getting shots in the mags. He's been on Enjoi and Emerica for a minute, and his personal style can be seen in the products that feature his name. That brings me to where I'm going with all this, Emerica recently released the Jerry Hsu Collection, a line of clothes inspired by the style master himself. If you like that whole urban artist look, this may be worth checking out. Notice I didn't say "hipster," lets please stop using that word. To view the collection click here.

To see his steez in action here's his part in Enjoi's Bag of Suck, it's a little grainy, but it's called Bag of Suck so what do you expect?
