Links | Andy's High Five PartThe surf world will undoubtedly never recover from the tragic loss of Andy Irons. We'll never see his effortless and perfect backside tube riding in person again. We'll never hear one of his funny eplanations of what he was feeling in one of his countless HEAVY situations.  What we do have though, is countless video footage of one of the best surfers of all time. And here's his section from Transworld SURF's High 5, his last major part in a video. A performance that has earned him two Surfer Poll nominations for Best Barrel and Best Performance. Below are parts 1 and 2 of Iron's nominated section. Plus, a description from Juston Cote of Transworld SURF on how they came across the final few clips to earn A.I. the coveted final part of the video: The "last part" in surf movies is generally reserved for the dude who got the best clips and is meant to send the viewer out of the theater all jacked up and ready to rip. That said, when we began editing High Five, our Andy Irons section was lacking the panache that a surfer of his caliber deserved. We were in a pickle, who was gonna get the last part? Eric Geiselman had some amazing waves, but we really wanted to end the film with Andy... all we were missing were some banger clips. Two days before the movie was supposed to be finished, a package from Billabong showed up at the office. Hastily opened, a hard drive simply marked "AI Clips" revealed itself. High Five editors Jerry Ricciotti, Steven Schultz, and Blake Kueny were "super butt pumped" as Andy would've said, and the Three Time World Champ instantly had the best part in the movie. That's just one of the million Andy Irons stories we have, trust us, there are plenty more to come. Rest in peace AI... and send us some clips of you ripping in heaven! Channels: Surf Ramondetta Destroys PortlandPeter Ramondetta has had a hell of a coupe years on his skateboard. He had been killing it for more than a minute with the Real crew. Then, he started killing contest. For the past two years he's been one of the most consistent  skaters at all of the Maloof events, and has made several finals. He also competed in the inaugural Street League series, which in case you don't know is the best of the best.While all that was going he has also done something more important in terms being a Real skateboarder; he has gotten clips for his sponsors. There's the soon-to-be released Real skateboarders video, which he'll have a major part in. Then there's all the ads and shots in the mag, in between nagging ankle injuries. Channels: Skate Flip IKON SeriesBritish turned U.S. skate brand, Flip, has been making some of the most iconic deck graphics in skateboarding from the start. Anyone who has skated since the 90s has a favorite Flip creation, whether it's the psychedelic Tom Penny  graphics like the Magic Mushroom and Cheech and Chong decks. Or the English punk rock inspired Ali Boulala graphics. Or maybe the Nordic themed Rune Glifberg editions. Whichever is your favorite one thing for sure is Flip has always killed in the art department. It's a style that is almost unmistakable, which is priceless in the world of marketing skate decks. Channels: Skate Stoned In TexasThe Volcom Stone-Age skate crew recently toured through the Lone Star State with quit possibly the worst colors scheme possible for the current climate of Texas. In case you don't know the Stone-Age skate line is and always has been orange and black. An  almost identical orange and black as the San Francisco Giants baseball team, a team that beat the Texas Rangersthree games to one in the World Series. Now, the sports world in Texas hasn't been doing that great of late. The Dallas Cowboys lost their starting quarterback for most of the year due to a broken collarbone, and the Rangers were embarrassed in the World Series. And to make things worse, here comes this brand from beautiful Southern California with it's band of skate hooligans to not only skate and destroy all over the state, but to wave an orange and black flag while they do it; just a little slat in the wound that's all.
