LESSinformedLESSinformed is a skate blog edited by Tom Morin. Recent Commentsfilmshooter108 says: "I fail to see the "Sport" associated with such a barbaric act of killing this beautiful beast of the Oceans. Human beings, according to most medical data, house a superior brain to any living thing on this Earth, yet, everyday, we see this battle of man and animal played out, as if the animal had a hell of a chance to succeed...What I do not understand is what kind of pleasure do you get from killing this wonderful and majestic animal, even if it were a contest, what personal pleasure do you derive from ending its life...???...it belongs in the Ocean and yet, your so called, "superior" brain, told you to kill it, take it out of its environment & stand next to it for a photographic record of the violent event....Please, try and understand what we are trying to convey to you people, who take pleasure in ending a life of this and other living things, here on Earth...Let them live, as they are God's Creatures and He put them here for other reasons and not so that you could spend a day, wallowing in its blood & salt water, for yes, a photographic record of this barbaric event...Let the animals and other creatures live, if possible, for I see no benefit to mankind, or to the field of medicine or any other necessary event that would allow mankind to benefit from the death of this most Majestic Beast..." Links | < previous 618 of 1565 next > Flip About To Turn Skateboarding Upside DownThe much anticipated FLIP video EXTREMELY SORRY, may have nothing to be sorry for after all. Not only are they going to blow your mind with some of the best skateboarding you've ever seen. They're also going to blow your ears off with an original soundtrack featuring appearances from major players in the rock, rap and punk genres, and it will be available on Volcom Entertainment. That's right! Mr. Geoff Rowley has been in the game for longer than most, and has made some connections along the way. If you remember, Johnny Rotten hosted their first video, Sorry. Flip has also enlisted the help of fellow red-coat, DJ Baron, who's been working on the soundtrack for as long as it takes a non-skateboarder to finish high school. We're usually on the two year plan, aka until we're 16 and able to drop out. "EXTREMELY SORRY has been 4 years in the making and the most insane journey I have been on. The music was made to serve the skateboarding and the skateboarding is epic," said Baron. FLIP feels this soundtrack, which is expected to drop 10/20/09, is going to set the standard for years to come, as far as skate films go. To give your ears a little taste of what to expect, they've offered up an instrumental song available for free at the Volcom Entertainment site. There you go, Flip + DJ Baron + Volcom = Video of the Year? We'll see. What's going to make it so rad, is not only are you going to get to see some of the best skateboarding the world has to offer. You're going to get to hear some of your favorite musical acts, in songs you've never heard before, only because of this video. Channels: Skate < previous 618 of 1565 next > |

Tom you know I'm a fan, but this blog as many others is very socially irresponsible of you man. US skaters don't drop out of school when were 16 because not much good will come out of it. Don't encourage these kids to do that. They're already helpless enough being on the internet all the time. You convince them to drop out of school and you've got a bunch of nerdy internet kids, but you've got a bunch of undereducated morons too. And I certainly don't want to be the one to clean up that mess. Most of us skaters don't become pro...or even AM for that matter, so please kids...for your own sake, don't listen to moreinformed. He's a bigger idiot than all of you. How he got a job as a writer is a mystery...how he kept that up as a career is the reason I'm a fan of his. But don't listen to his advice this time...that is all.
