I agree with everything you said to me 100%. Thanks for geting back to me and doing so with respect. I don't mind people disagreeing with me as long as it's respectful. I've had to give 1-2 people both barrls for being insulting. Now i've said some of what you stated, but part of my point is to do something that dangerous should be for something important, like rite of passage or saving a life. Abby and family did it for media and fame. People could say it was to break a glass ceiling on the youngest to sail, but there are more important ceilings to break that would help humanity. Thank you for taking the time to chat with me about it. I hope you better understand my point of view, for as I said, i'm with you! Feel free to email me if you still have questions/thoughts about my comments! You be well and successful!
The family has posted a request on their website for people to donate money to save their daughter's boat. just really bold of them. Their daughter is safe, so they should just be grateful for that. ridiculous. People have been struggling to find work, so it's a bit insulting for them to ask for money for a boat lost in the Indian Ocean from others when they are already very wealthy people. ...............just be happy they have their daughter safe. but we always want more. ok, i'm done with this story. :)
You would be better at writing non-fiction than continuing this nonsensical rant. Everything you are saying is fear-based and all stipulation. There is no no evidence nor quotes from Abby and her parents to support any of your allegations. I too am a parent, and the nature of my child's dream is irrelevant. The fact that she has a passion and determination to see her dream to fruition is what means something, whether it be sailing the sea or baking a pie. It does come across that you are a caring person and mean well, I just haven't got the impression that you have much imagination and are seeing with tunnel-vision.

Typo: I meant to say "fiction", rather than "non-fiction".
