Located in Talkeetna, Alaska, 185-feet from ground-level, is the top of Goose Creek Tower. The product of Phillip Weidner’s MIT-degree-fueled mind, it is essentially a house of cabins stacked on top of one another. He calls it “a poem to the sky.”
A 15-year project, Weidner started Goose Creek Tower so that he could see everything. Having had to stop building at the 185-foot mark because federal airspace starts at 200-feet, Weidner is still finishing the house. Nicknamed the Dr. Seuss house, it’s certainly one that inspires DIY projects of any size.
