May has been an eventful month for James Stewart. After a less than impressive 2012 Supercross season, Stewart severed ties with Joe Gibbs Racing to ride with the Yoshimura Suzuki team. The move was heavily scrutinized, but since his decision, it would be hard to argue with the results as Stewart dominated both Hangtown and Freestone-- the first two stops of the outdoor season. To the delight of motocross fans, Stewart has decided to document his entire journey with a new show..Read More →

The biggest story leading up to the season opener of the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship circled around one James Stewart. Everyone asked, "Will he kick some butt, will he choke, was his problem with SX all in his head or has he landed on his head too many times, will the Suzuki be his saving grace, if he was so fond of the Suzuki starting last year, why did he ride for another team if he says he does not do it for the money," and a slew of other questions. Many of those questions may..Read More →

Most of the What Really Happened columns this outdoor season have focused on the 450 class, and there are plenty of reasons for that. However, what really happened in Colorado is that we learned that Blake Baggett is flat-out the fastest racer in the 250 class right now. Period.Prior to this weekend, I'd have said his winning pattern was inconsistent, but it's actually pretty consistent now. Blake Baggett wins every other weekend. He won round one, crashed out of the lead in the..Read More →
Monster Energy Kawasaki's Ryan Villopoto hasn't even really been in the hunt for wins very much in the 2011 AMA Pro Motocross Championships. He led for a little bit at Hangtown, but in all four motos that were run previous to High Point last weekend, he finished well behind Chad Reed and defending champ Ryan Dungey, with the exception of moto two in Texas where Dungey's bike quit with only a few laps left to run while leading. But at High Point, it was a different story. He grabbed the..Read More →
