15-year-old X Games rookie Pedro Barros qualifies for Big Air in skate while legend Danny Way pulls

By: Nate Hoppes

It's been a strange day for X Games Legends with Travis Pastrana, Dave Mirra, and Danny Way all pulling out of their respective disciplines. Way was the last to announce he wasn't going to compete in the Skate Big Air and Big Air Rail Jam. The full details are not clear, but it appears it's not due to injury.

Meanwhile, the young Brazilian rookie Pedro Barros will make his X Games debut in the Big Air Final Thursday night live on ESPN. Barros qualified 2nd today behind fellow Brazilian Edgard Pereira. In the final they'll join their fellow countryman and Big Air legend, Bob Burnquist.
