Known in the skate world as a career launching contest, it is one of the most anticipated contests of the year.In only his second Tampa Am, Virginia native Trevor Colden linked together gap and rail tricks on his way to victory. He sealed the win in the finals with a near perfect run including a frontside crooked grind down the big hubba ledge and a clean big spin frontside boardslide down the big rail.
Luke Hampton from Minnesota finished behind Colden for second while Evan Smith who came into the finals with high expectations finished third to round out the podium.
CJ Tambornino took 1st place in the Best Trick competition with his switch inward heel big spin down the gap.
