Stacy Peralta's film Bones Brigade readies for the film festival circuit

By: Nate Hoppes

Those who have been lucky enough to screen Stacy Peralta's newest autobiographic film "Bones Brigade" have had nothing but positive praise for his latest film. Some of those in attendance for a special screening in late December were CAB, Tony, Rodney, Lance, Stacy, George, Eddie Elguera, Duane Peters, Steve Olson, Shepard Fairey, and Christian Hosoi say this may be one of his best films yet. Peralta proved he has major skills behind the lens when in 2004 he directed the highly successful documentary Dogtown and Z-Boys.

As Peralta prepares to take his film to Hollywood on the Mountain next week for the Sundance film festival news broke the film will be making it's West Coast debut at the 26th Annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Thursday, February 2. This is great news for most of us who want nothing to do with the madness of getting a ticket to Sundance.

Tommy Guerrero, Steve Caballero, Rodney Mullen, Lance Mountain, Mike McGill, Stacy Peralta and George Powell have all confirmed their attendance. A Q & A will follow the film so for all of you who live skateboarding so here's your chance to get up close and personal with the legends of the sport.

As with all film festivals the ticket process seems to be difficult so head over to the film festivals website and reserve yourself and 3 other friends a 4 pack of tickets to see the special screening.

Red carpet begins at 7 PM, film at 8. Seating is on a first-come, first served basis meaning get there early if you want to see it this.
