Holy Cow: A Skate Trip Through India

By: Janos Palko

Skate filmmaker Patrik Wallner released this incredible 10 minute short film that documents his travels through Sri Lanka, India, and Bangladesh, entitled Holy Cow. The scenery and interactions between the local people and Wallner's crew as they skate is especially inspiring.

One amazing thing about traveling somewhere so foreign is that people don't see a group of skateboarders, and the social assumptions that often go along with that. They are merely in awe of the sport as an incredible athletic display.

Lance Mountain's Quiet Influence on Skateboarding

By: Nate Hoppes

Lance Mountain isn't a household name like some of his Bones Brigade peers or today's high-paid pros. But in his own way, he's continued to influence skate culture for more than three decades.

While he's never won the X Games or had a video game named after him, his design and artistic talents have always been in demand. That's why Nike hired him as a brand ambassador, where he's been leading their quest for authenticity with projects like 'Pool Service.' (see below).

By: Kat Hoffman

Adidas Skateboarding rented out a large warehouse in Paris this February for their creative skate event, 'The Obstacle,' which featured a massive skateable sculpture designed by Mark Gonzales and Rich 'Badger' Holland.

Gonzales was up to his usual shenanigans, along with pro riders Lucas Puig, Silas Baxter-Neal, and Benny Fairfax. There were also art displays, board demos , and skate lessons for the kids from the pros on hand.
