Blue skies and sunshine are welcoming visitors of the freestyle.ch at Landiwiese this morning. While yesterday heavy rain showers forced the organizers to cancel the FMX and the skateboarding qualifications these contests can be held today. In order to fit the tight program the best 4 will directly qualify for the finals that will be held as planned. The crowd's favorite, Sandro Dias, dominated in skateboarding. The Brazilian impressed with a remarkable consistency, incredibly high airs and perfect alley oop 540 s. His last win at freestyle.ch was back in 2008. The audience cheered him on with all they got, so he really wanted to finally win again this year. And he did!!

Street League 2012: Nyjah Huston Wins Kansas City... Again

Street League's instant scoring allowed for the possibility of pressure-packed moments, but very few times did the skateboarders deliver

The 2012 Street League season kicked off in Kansas City this past weekend as it did last year-- with skateboard technician Nyjah Huston taking home $150,000. Huston's ability to land difficult and technical tricks consistently makes him almost unbeatable in the current Street League format.

"It was a hard one tonight, that's for sure!" said Nyjah. "I definitely had to work for it. I love the challenge, though, and to skate with these guys is great."
