Somehow I hadn't heard about Euro snow production company isenseven until last year, when my buddy Tommy Monette from ALLYVIDEO.com and I watched "Ubermovie," that in my opinion was one the best films of 08. This year they came out with "Teenage Love Graffiti" - the teaser cleaned up the views with 30,000+ on GrindTV.com a few months back at http://www.grindtv.com/video/snow/isenseven_teenage_love_graffiti_trailer_1/ If you like the teaser you should by the DVD at ALLYVIDEO.com. Check out this skate clip they put together, and I bet you'll want them to make their first skate movie too. Producer Vincent Urban and crew is considering it. What do you think? A little slower, uber committed to the camera work and music, but if you let yourself get used to it the skating is sick... and I think their style is the future of action sports film. Vincent says, "Last summer we found some time to film skateboarding. Most of it happened in Berlin and Munich but we also got some shots at the Day of Skate in NYC and during the Camp of Champions in Whistler. This is not a real teaser for an actual movie to come out. This is just a teaser for our idea to make a skateboard movie - sometimes, any time, maybe, probably, never or already tomorrow. It might feature some really good skaters and some really cool cities. Or not. Who knows. This is how we would make skateboarding look. A little more calm, a little slower and a bit more focus on the whole surrounding than usual. Enjoy! We'd like to thank the skateboarders Maxim Rosenbauer, Mack McKelton, Lennie Burmeister, Yannick Schall, Lem Villemin, Manuel Schamberg, Jonas Rosenbauer, Sergio Grosu and Forest Baily. The tune that's playing is from a really great band out of NYC: Ravens and Chimes. The song's called "This is Where We Are." Support them.
The 2012 Street League season kicked off in Kansas City this past weekend as it did last year-- with skateboard technician Nyjah Huston taking home $150,000. Huston's ability to land difficult and technical tricks consistently makes him almost unbeatable in the current Street League format.
"It was a hard one tonight, that's for sure!" said Nyjah. "I definitely had to work for it. I love the challenge, though, and to skate with these guys is great."
