What seemed like lifelong Flip rider, Arto Saari, has inked with Alien Workshop. It must be a big contract because he’s been with Flip forever, and Burton, who has a ton of money, owns Alien Workshop. Analog’s been his clothing sponsor for some time, so it makes sense that he’ll ride for another Burton company.
Oh yeah, he doesn’t ride for Etnies anymore either, Gravis anyone?
The guys over at Flip seem like such a family, so this is definitely big news for them. Also, because they’ve been filming for Extremely Sorry for a quick minute now. The only question seems to be, where is all his recent footage going to end up? Workshop’s soon-to-be released Mindfield?
Here’s what longtime Flip rider and friend, Geoff Rowley, had to say:
“Arto is like a brother to me. After years of being on the same team with the same goals it was time for him to move on. We remain the best of friends and will continue to skate together probably harder and probably more so than ever!!! I wish him all the best and as a brother, I shall always have his back”
