Long Beach, California saw its newest skate shop open on Friday night: Golden State Goods. The shop was opened by Joey Pulsifer and Amy Beams, and the one and only Justin Reynolds hails as store manager/event manager who put on the art show. The shop centers around skateboarding essentials and apparel, but also the art of local skaters and their goods as well. “Think of it as a Buffalo Exchange for skaters” Reynolds explained, “for their art and goods alike”. I personally don’t think the buffalo reference paints the whole picture, but hopefully some of the photos below will. They plan on monthly events like this one, which featured the art of Ricki Bedenbaugh and Mark Nisbet. Its all about community with these dudes. Support your local skate shop, and if you’re in Long Beach (or Seal Beach, where GSG is actually located), stop by Golden State Goods and check it out!
