Growing up, the media side of skateboarding always interested me. I started off with just a shitty handy cam filming all my friends, but what really interested me was photography. I got my first camera during my freshman year of high school with no idea how to use it. After hours of searching YouTube videos I started to learn the basics. From then on I was hooked. I couldn’t just flip through a magazine anymore and observe what trick was being done, it would go beyond that, I would pick apart every photo from how it was lit, to the angle, to the timing. I couldn’t get enough of it; I knew I wanted to be a skateboard photographer.—Cody Lisch
