I managed to score myself a pair of these from the kind lads at Adidas and I’ve been ripping around some streets and parks to see how they skate. Overall, I’m surprised at how supportive the shoes are on my feet and how well they skate right out of the box. They have a kind of running shoe feel to them since they’re so supportive, which makes sense when you think about how Busenitz is basically running on a skateboard and could probably use some extra comfort.
There is also a video up on the Adidas Site where designer Dave Kinley goes into detail on what Dennis was looking for in a shoe, and where they drew some influences. There is also some footage of Dennis tear-assing around SF in the shoes, so you can see them in action for yourself.
Check it out and while you’re at Adidas’ Site, be sure to check out Diagonal. It’s real good.
