Nike SB Accidentally Pisses Off Ireland

Yahoo reports that a lot of Irishmen are angry over the unofficial name of Nike SB’s latest Quick Strick dunk attempted at honoring the Irish Catholic Holiday of St. Patrick’s day. The tumult arose due to the shoe’s “Black and Tan” moniker which is both a type of drink mixing lager and stout beer in a pint glass as well as a violent anti-irish paramilitary group from back in the day.

Those upset with the shoe liken calling the sneakers “Black and Tans” in an attempt to honor St. Patrick’s Day to releasing a shoe called “Al Queda” for Americans.
