‘Quit Your Day Job’ is the all-female skateboarding movie the world needs

It’s the year 2016 and we very well could be electing our first female president later this fall. While we continue to make strides in gender equality as a society, female skateboarders will tell you there is still a massive gap in opportunities.

Which is why the forthcoming all-female skateboard movie Quit Your Day Job is more important than ever.

An undertaking by Erik Sandoval and Monique O’Toole, the project started in January 2015 as a short skate edit. But it was apparent from the start that the need for a full-length female skate video was necessary.

Aiming to “change people’s perception of what females are capable of and inspire a new world of possibility for the next generation of women,” they have just launched an Indiegogo campaign for music rights, post production and DVD printing.

Featuring the likes of Vanessa Torres, Lacey Baker, Samarria Brevard, Candy Jacobs and many more talented female skaters, the project is aiming to share the end product with the world this December.

Can you imagine the inspiration that would be to little girls all across America if they were able to watch an all-female skateboard video after the country has just elected a female president?

Check out the Indiegogo campaign and help this become a reality.
