Pro skier rips down dry mountain, hops onto mountain bike; video

As we’ve seen in the past, certain pro skiers and snowboarders don’t necessarily need great snow to make a great edit.

On Monday, 18-year-old Swiss freeskier Andri Ragettli added his name to the list of skiers who have shown a proclivity for ripping a dry mountain.

The clip below shows Ragettli and his brother tearing down the questionable snow cover at Laax in Switzerland before popping off their skis and hitting the lower half of the hill on mountain bikes:

Ragettli — who recently landed the world’s first-ever quad cork 1800 — posted the video online without much in the way of details as to how it all went down.

In the YouTube description of the edit, Ragettli simply wrote “Me and my brother were bored and we came to this idea!! First skiing and then biking!!! I hope you guys like it!”

Perhaps the young skier he can turn his ingenuity and technical prowess into developing huge viral skiing clips a la Candide Thovex or Nicolas Vuignier.
