The 5 ski videos you missed this week

It's Friday, the weekend is in sight, and you're itching for some mountain freedom. We feel you—we've all been there. To get that stoke pumping and maybe help make that minute hand move a little faster, we decided it might be nice to check in on five of our favorite ski videos released this week. This week's top story? Heavy snow across the West and some killer powder turns.

Without further ado, here's five ski vids you might have missed this week. And you said we never do anything fun anymore.

Washington's Crystal Mountain had a pretty good Monday this week, as evidenced by this short edit. Twenty-two inches of light snow gave way to some serious face shots and had us all wondering why the hell we didn't extend our Thanksgiving vacations one more day.

Tap into your wanderlust with Nimbus Independent, one of the most soulful crews in skiing, as they travel to Russia in the first in a three-stop series. Smack in the middle of the smooth skiing is one of the gnarliest leg injuries in recent memory, so be warned. Sometimes it's not all fun and fur coats in Mother Russia. Note: the skier, Eric Pollard, was back on snow in time for this season.

If you missed it in theaters, Poor Boyz has leaked the Detroit urban skiing segment from their movie "Tracing Skylines." This is legitimately skiing like you've never seen it before with some of the gnarliest rail and jump set-ups ever created in one of the roughest cities in the U.S. right now. Try and not be impressed by this segment, I double dog dare you.

You've been living under a rock if you don’t know the Salomon Freeski TV web series, but for those stone dwellers, here is the latest from the guys. Join the "pied piper of stoke," Kaj Zackrisson, and a motley crew on their Alps search for powder paradise in Salmon Freeski TV's "Lemonade.”

No weekly video roundup would be complete without a fail, and luckily for you and me, this week's is a goodie. As the powder gets deeper the jumpers get dumber, giving us a chance to marvel at gems like this attempted double backflip. Maybe next time, kid.
