Only in Argentina can you have an event as kickass as Chiacs Only. For the fifth year in a row ladies descended upon Cerro Catedral in Bariloche, Argentina for a day of shredding and fun in the Southern Hemisphere's sun. This year marked the largest turnout of chicas since the contest's inception in 2005. The theme for this year's event was '80's Style' and in true Argentine fashion, the girls went all out by dressing up in radical retro gear.

This stellar event focused on the fun side of shredding and made it one of the best contests of the year. The pressure-free environment felt more like a party than a comp and everyone was excited to be apart of the fun. Bluebird skies and prime conditions amped everyone up and Grindtv was stoked to be on the scene.

Check out what Sabrina Paoloni had to say about memorable dia.

The fifth annual Chicas Only contest at Cerro Catedral capped off the season as the biggest and most fun freestyle celebration South American ski resorts have ever seen.
More than a 100 girls got together at Cerro Catedral in the terrain park. Due to epic snow fall on top of the mountain the contest was held on the base of the mountain. The course was built and designed so all skiers and snowboarders had the best day of their winter. The event, which gathers girls in a more friendly than competitive side, saw an amazing display of female shredding.

Around noon, with the 80's music bumping and great vibes from the chicas, the freestyle clinics started. The girls ranged from ones that had never entered a terrain park to other thats had been riding for years. Coaches, Martina Mezquida, Julieta Albornoz, Diana Rivera Garcia, Niki Slechta, Natalie Gogh, and special guest Erin Comstock, took charge of guiding, teaching and pumping up the girls. The anticipation for the day was high and everyone was excited to share and learn in an atmosphere that was specially designed for las chicas.

After a lunch break at the Isabel la Catolica snow lounge, the contest started with the Best Trick Jam in the Chicas Only main park. Snowboarder Mery Houssay took home the Rip Curl sponsorship with a stylish backside180 on and Skier Nati Revora won a complete Dakine setup after nailing a switch in switch out on the flat box.

Lots of girls geared up in their 80's glam and showed off their impressive dance moves. Verónica Imbert won a Kicker soundsystem rocking to the beats of Frankie goes to Hollywood's "Relax".

Josh Dueck becomes first paraplegic skier to complete a back flip

The skier fulfilled a dream he'd be thinking of for over eight years.

Josh Dueck's life changed dramatically in 2004, when he became paralyzed from the waist down in a skiing accident. But he not only kept the "freedom" he enjoys on the slopes, aboard a sit-ski, he excelled in competitions and pioneered backcountry skiing on the device. This past week he achieved another remarkable milestone: performing the first documented back flip in the snow on a sit-ski (fast-forward to the 2-minute mark to see the trick).
