Prospecting Idaho Season Two: Episodes 1 & 2

By: Lindsay Fraka

And into the Idaho backcountry we go. Again. Smith Optics' engaging web series "Prospecting Idaho" is back for another season with a whole different crew and episodes one and two debuted this week. Once more we experience what the Potato State has to offer (and it has a lot to offer) through the Smith crew and majorly talented rippers that they bring along for the ride.

The first double dipping of episodes shows us a few different backcountry builds surrounded by blower snow and insanely fun lines and terrain. Austin Smith and Shayne Pospisil are the lone snowboarders in the first edits and are rolling with skiers Tim Durtschi, Cody Barnhill, and Tyler Ceccanti. It's apparent that the crew has sought out to have a majorly good time while still trying to push themselves and provide some impressive riding.

The group of skiers session a gigantic step down and scare the crap out of themselves while Smith and Pospisil get after a tree gap and build a nice little booter.

Of course, we are looking at flights to Idaho now. This series has the same effect as its first season and shows the ridiculous riding that Idaho provides. Stay tuned for more episodes.

Produced by Cory Smith and Smith Optics. Edited by Mark Oliver.

A video of the 18-year-old hitting a massive kicker in Europe just surfaced, and in it, Sandbech stomps a triple underflip 1260. Yeah, we didn't really think that was possible either, but this video from Stale's sponsors proves it.

After seeing the video, we had to know what was going through Sandbech's mind when he stomped the new trick...
