The rankings in the Nike Chosen Contest are changing everyday, and recently a crew based out of Breckenridge, Colorado has swooped in, generating the biggest social buzz yet. The 4Reel Media Crew has been gaining momentum since they joined the contest a mere two weeks ago. We sat down with the Colorado locals to get a feel for who they are, what they hope to accomplish with the Chosen contest, and how the heck they've managed to get so much hype.

We're a group of guys from Colorado looking to make an impact in the snow sports industry. This year we plan on BIG backcountry jumps, steep and deep pow lines and so much fun that Jay-Z hits us up........on the reg.

Tell us about your crew:
Homegrown in Colorado, been riding and filming together since we were knee high to a grasshopper. -Cam

How old is everyone, how long have you been snowboarding?
Jacob: age: 23 Years snowboarding:18
Nick: age: 22 Years snowboarding: 20
Colin: age:23 Years snowboarding: 20
Cam: age: 23 Years skiing: 21 Years filming/editing: 6

How did you come up with your crew's name: 4Reel Media
We really wanted to have something catchy that also played the "media" theme through it, hence "REEL" and along with that how many times do you hear someone say "yea for real" its catchy and rolls off the tongue nicely. -Cam

How long have you been a crew and how did the crew form?
Its hard to limit a "crew" to 4 people, Colin, Cameron and fellow camera man Kyle Foster started the group back in the summer of 2007, we were all into filming, shredding and having a good time. We really wanted to just make edits for our friends to enjoy, then more and more people started to follow us and now I can't believe what it has turned into. We now have about 8 of us in total, skiers and snowboarders. -Cam

What are you looking to get out of the Chosen Contest?
We are looking for the chance to show the industry that a grass root crew can hold their own in the backcountry with what we have. If Nike were to choose us, there is no doubt in my mind that we will change the industry. -Cam

Do you have any strategies for filming?
I think our strategy is to focus on the big jumps, but I don't want to give up all my surprises. -Cam

What is your favorite part about snowboarding?
The fun, freedom and personal expression, pow in and around my face. -Nick/Jacob

What is your favorite snowboard film, any that you are hoping to fashion your edits after?
Cub - "The Big Blind"
Nick - MacDawg, Absinthe Films get it done
Colin - "Out Cold"
Cam - "One Love"
I like to see what all these companies have to offer, but lately is seems to just be snow porn, same thing over and over, I want to change that game and create my own unique product.

If Chosen, what do will your crew do to celebrate?
Oh man thats a hard one, but first off we were thinking a 4REEL surf trip to Tres Olas Surf Camp in Dominical, Costa Rica. I'm sure there would be a little bit of partying going on as well. -Cam

Describe a perfect day with your crew.
Everyone on their own sled, bluebird, deep pow.
