The beast is open! Pipe jocks around the country can rejoice because the 22-foot Eagle Superpipe is officially open for the 2011-2012 winter season.

"This is one of earliest dates that we've opened the superpipe with perfect timing right before the holiday season," said Jeremy Cooper, terrain park manager at Park City Mountain Resort. "Obviously the dirtwork we did this past summer gave us a good jumpstart, however the hard work of our talented snowmakers, groomers and pipe cutter is what creates a pipe that lives up to its reputation as one of the best in the world."

Be prepared to see some of the biggest names in action sports, including Park City All Stars Kazu Kokubo, Torah Bright, Joss Christensen and Tanner Hall training in the pipe this season.

If you are unable to get to the mountain, you can watch all the Superpipe action live 24/7 via the Resort's "Cobra Cam," located at Cobra Dogs at the base of the Eagle Superpipe and 3 Kings Terrain Park.
