The Nike Chosen Tour has been cruising around the states making pit-stops in some of the countries best shred locations. The most recent tour stop was at Heavenly in Lake Tahoe, California. We caught up with female winner Joanna Dzierzawski from the Tahoe Chosen Crew for her take on the progressive contest.Take a look at what she had to say.
What was the set-up of the Nike Chosen Tour in Heavenly like?
The Heavenly Nike Chosen stop had a really creative set up that consisted of a massive 70' cut-out jump with a quarter-pipe, wall ride or rail to wall ride close out feature in between the jump and a fun box combo and a down rail w/stairs on the side of the landing. There were lots of options and the set-up was perfect.
Did everyone in your Nike Chosen Crew compete?
Our whole Tahoe Chosen crew did compete - Scottie Hoffman, Nick Geisen, & myself! John Chavallier, our filmer also did his thing.
What were your crew's feelings going to the Rail Jam?
I think I can speak for all of us when I say it was epic! The features were set up perfect, really safe, fun. SPT, Heavenly Park Crew, & Nike did a great job designing and building the features.
What was the best trick you or someone from your crew threw during the contest?
I think Nick Geisen threw a flawless double cork 10.
What was it like to be apart of this Nike Chosen Tour stop?
I was really amped to be apart of this event! I mean the set up had so many options and they were all super fun!
Who won the event?
Nick Poohachoff won for the men and I'm stoked to say that I won for the ladies.
What was the spectator scene like?
Looking out into the crowd was awesome. The street next to the run was absolutely full and so was the run and bleachers below. It was just what we needed to put out a good vibe!
What was your favorite part of the course?
The jump was definitely my favorite but I enjoyed riding all of it! It was really awesome being apart of the Nike Chosen Tour, and I'm stoked for the video contest. Like Tahoe Chosen here.
Stay tuned for a video from the progressive and fun event.
