freestyle.ch 2010 Qualification - Snowboard

From: quattro media

When it's freestyle.ch-time, you're coming - no matter what! Even buckets of rain can't stop you! Although the bad weather resulted in canceled FMX and skateboarding contests, a skateboarding demo could be held and the snowboarding and freeskiing qualifications were all the more phenomenal. Performances were also of the highest caliber in the snowboarding qualification. The entire field of riders threw down double corks and impressed spectators with their skills and their style. Two-time TTR world champion, Peetu Piiroinen (FIN), managed to dominate the qualification. This Finn won over judges with his even consistency, pulling off perfectly executed double cork 1080s. Zurich's local hero, Iouri Podladtchikov (SUI), demonstrated nerves of steel. Although he was the audience's favorite going in, he didn't manage to qualify himself for a spot in the Top 8 until the final of three runs - landing no less than the highest double cork 1080 of the contest. He was followed by Sebastien Toutant from Canada in third and St le Sandbech from Norway in fourth.
