Filmmaker Jordan Manley is behind season three of the series “A Skier’s Journey,” and he recently released the Iceland episode, where skiers Chad Sayers, Forrest Coots, and Chad Manley visit a nearly abandoned island in the remote region of Westfjords. The guys say they went there partly to explore the remnants of a culture that inhabited the island for a thousand years, living in harmony and sustainably within nature, only to desert it by the end of WWII. If this sort of one-with-nature exploration doesn’t interest you, then perhaps the trios’ precipitous descents–the kind that make your hands sweat just watching them from the safety of your desk–will.
