Contests are an integral part of skiing and snowboarding. They provide a stage for world class athletes to push the progression of the sport. They also provide decent (sometimes giant-sized) prize purses that allow many pros to continue doing what they love. This year the schedule of events is stacked with tons of mega contests going down both locally and internationally.
Here’s a list of all the major events in 2011 we’ll be bringing you coverage from. Remember this list is not all inclusive and somethings may change, but for the most part these are the comps you’re going to want to keep your eye on.

The biggest and most hyped contest of the entire season. Free to the public and televised on ESPN.

Roxy Chicken Jam: March 23- 27, 2011
The girls go for it in Mam-town in a jam format followed by a bunch of concerts and parties.
