Snowboard on the Block is coming to kick off snow season

It’s now August, which means the 2017-18 snow season is quietly approaching. And the best way to kick that off is the Snowboard on the Block festival in Denver.

Taking place on Oct. 14, it will include a pro rail jam, concerts, a massive snow gear sale, snowboard movie premieres and much more.

The pro rail jam will be a professional street-style snowboard competition featuring some of the top riders in the world. The event will go down on a closeout-style setup in the middle of Sculpture Park at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.

Concert performers are yet to be announced, but previous acts have included Chief Keef, Wolfmother and the Misfits.

The snow gear sale is Colorado’s largest and features items from many major brands with discounts of up to 75 percent.

The movie premieres are also yet to be announced, but last year featured SNOWBOARDER’s “Resolution” and TRANSWORLD SNOWBOARDING’s “Insight.”

Tickets are currently on sale for the second tier of the early bird pricing window for only $15. You aren’t going to want to miss the official kickoff to snow season this year.
