About Us

In 1991, skateboarding was entering a new era. Some of the best new pros wanted to start something that was different than the majority of skateboard companies and reflected their personal attitudes and views. That company was called Plan B. The project was lead by Mike Ternasky and featured team riders Danny Way, Matt Hensley, Mike Carroll, Sean Scheffey and Rick Howard. Mike had a heavy involvement in the skateboard industry, was a close friend of Danny Way's and was the perfect fit for such a ground breaking company. Plan B took the skateboard world by storm with it's amazing videos and products and changed the way skateboard companies were run. Adding top riders like Colin McKay, Pat Duffy, Sal Barbier, Ronnie Bertino and Jeremy Wray throughout the early 90's, Plan B was the company that all other skate brands were compared to.

In 1994 tragedy struck when Mike Ternasky was killed in a car accident. Plan B was left in the hands of Danny Way and Colin McKay. Dealing with the death of their friend, Danny and Colin tried to keep their focus on their skateboarding careers while keeping the brand going. Proving to be too difficult, they decided to temporarily shelf the brand — until now.

In 2005, Plan B, in association with Syndrome Distribution, was relaunched with a new squad of elite skaters, Paul Rodriguez, Danny Way, Colin McKay, Ryan Gallant and PJ Ladd. With the same ideas and attitudes as always, Plan B features top of the line, authentic products and one of the best all around skateboard teams in history.
