When you get readings from outer buoys notching the 10-foot mark at 9 seconds it has the makings for some macking New Jersey barrels. And when New Jersey is still in that howling offshore weather pattern, well it’s really got the makings for something special—which this past Sunday in the Garden State was. But when Jersey gets like this it’s can be quite unruly, tricky, and involves strong arms with a bit of luck.
